It’s
that time
of year again.
“The Holidays.”
What does that term mean to you?
For me, it mostly means busyness and family.
The challenge is finding joy in the busyness and family.
Too often it becomes about checking the relationships off the list:
spent time with that person, bought a present for that person, etc.
In church world, that means programs, programs, programs (with an occasional party).
For the business world, that means year-end budgets to meet, Q4 goals to achieve, stockholders to please, and final shipments to make . . . all while maintaining “the spirit of the season.”
In the blogging world, that means serious considerations of the “true meaning of the season,” how to not lose “Christ” in “Christmas,” and 10 tips for the best holiday ever!, (et. al.)
These are grand times, but don’t forget to find joy in Christ amidst the busyness of this season.
Each year it seems, “The Holidays” become more and more inundated with noise, so I won’t add to it further.
Grace
and
Peace,
–Steven
