I read this article about marriage and romance in late October. I was so busy with getting the book finished, so I didn’t share it. Now I have a minute to share with you. It’s a great reminder to work hard at our marriage. Little eyes are watching. Enjoy!
Additional Resources on Marriage
If you enjoy this post, you might want to check out the chapters on marriage (4 through 7) in my book The Relational God:
You can also listen to the audio book on Audible:
The book examines the biblical commands for marriages:
- Both Spouses:
- Physical Intimacy
- Faithfulness
- Husbands
- Love (unconditionally)
- Leave Childhood
- Gentleness, Understanding, and Honor
- Wives
- Submit
- Love (tangibly), Self-Control, Purity, Kindness, and Keeping the Home
After reviewing the commands, it looks at what those commands might be meant to teach us. It examines how Christ loves the church (unconditionally, with gentleness understanding, and honor). And how the church responds to Christ (in submission, with tangible love, self-control, purity, kindness, and keeping the house of God).
